SSO setup with 360Learning Using Drupal IdP

This document will help you configure 360Learning as a Service Provider (SP) making Drupal as your Identity Provider (IDP). Following these steps will allow you to configure SAML SSO between 360Learning and your Drupal site such that your users will be able to log in to 360Learning using their Drupal credentials. 

The Drupal SAML SSO - Identity Provider module is compatible with Drupal 7, Drupal 8, Drupal 9, Drupal 10, and Drupal 11.

Prerequisite:

Drupal SAML IDP Metadata:

  • After installing the module on your Drupal site, in the Administration menu, navigate to ConfigurationPeopleminiOrange SAML IDP Configuration. (/admin/config/people/miniorange_saml_idp/idp_setup)

  • Under the IDP Metadata tab, copy the Metadata URL and download X.509 Certificate. Keep it handy. (This is needed to configure 360Learning as SAML SP.)

Configure SAML SSO Application in 360Learning:

  • Login to your 360Learning domain.
  • To configure Single Sign On contact your Solution Architect, provide the information below and mail it to the 360Learning support team.

    360Learning field (Service Provider) Identity Provider Information (Drupal)
    Metadata URL Metadata URl
    Certificate X.509 Certificate
  • After that, your Solution Architect confirms your enrollment, they will provide SP metadata which is required to configure Drupal as SAML Identity Provider.

Configure Drupal as SAML Identity Provider (IdP):

  • Navigate to the Drupal site and switch to the Service Provider Setup tab of the miniOrange SAML IDP module and click on the Upload SP metadata to expand it.

  • Now paste the metadata URL in Enter Metadata URL text field which is provided by Solution Architect. Click the Fetch Metadata button.

  • Scroll down and click on Save Configuration button.
  • To verify the connection between 360Learning and Drupal, click the Test link. You will be redirected to 360Learning dashboard.

You have successfully set up 360Learning as Service Provider and Drupal as Identity Provider.
