Creating Applications

Applications are based on the Basic Page content type that ships with Drupal core. A field has been added that allows Webforms to be embedded. An overview of the process is provided here.

The first step is going to /admin/structure/webform to add the webform. The inputs found in these webforms will allow your users to interact with R. Once the inputs have been added with the webform builder, the form must be embedded in an Operation node. The Operation content type is unique to Quadstat. When creating a new operation, site administrators may choose which webform to embed in the node to be created. For more information on Drupal fields, see the Field API UI.

For security, creation of applications and webforms should be restricted to site administrators and trusted users. Quadstat comes with 15 default web applications. These can be used as a template to create additional applications.
