The VIRTUAL Adult Mental Health First Aid course (2-hour self-paced, 4.5 scheduled online session) focuses on recognizing the patterns of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and appearance that show there might be a mental health challenge rather than focusing on specific illness. Participants are taught an action plan they can apply to crisis and non-crisis scenarios.

Virtual Adult Mental Health First Aid is a public education program. It teaches adults how to recognized the signs and symptoms that suggest a possible mental health problem or substance use challenge, how to listen non-judgmentally and give reassurance to a person experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge and how to refer the person to appropriate professional help and support services.

Visit the CWG blog post, Online Mental Health First Aid Workshop for more details about the training.
