Goal:
Reviews previous Mentoring team meeting to add and confirm contribution credits, creates new issue with the agenda and date of the next meeting, announces the issue in the Mentoring team chat channel, and facilitates (runs) the meeting on Drupal Slack.

Detailed steps:
At least 1 week prior to the next meeting.
- Open the previous meeting issue and press the “Contribution record” button.
- Log in to Drupal Slack and join the #mentoring-team-coordination channel.
- Review meeting participation in the roll call and other threads of the previous meeting.
- For each person, confirm their drupal.org username if it was not provided by them.
- If the username is displayed as a checkbox in the “Give credit to everyone” section, confirm the checkbox associated with the username is checked.
- Otherwise type their username in the “Credit others” autocomplete field, choose their username, and add a comma to the end of the list. Remember to add your own username.
- Save the Contribution record

Back on the previous meeting issue, add a comment to change the state label to
~state::fixedlabel and close the issue. - Navigate to the “Work items” page in a new window or tab.
- Follow the “New item” link.
- Set the title of the new issue following the pattern: “Mentor Meeting 13 May 2026" where 13 is the day, May is the month, and 2026 is the year of the next meeting.
- Copy the agenda from the previous meeting into the issue description.
- Update the dates in the issue description
- Remove the URL to the previous month’s meeting with a placeholder.
- In the section :zero: Roll Call!, update the ice breaker to something of your choosing.
- Remove any expired agenda items such as previous DrupalCon or event threads.
- Renumber thread emoji as needed.
- Set the labels
/label ~state::accepted ~priority::normal ~category::task ~meeting - Save the issue.
- Update the placeholder from the step above with the new URL and save the issue again.
- Paste the URL of the new issue into Drupal Slack and invite people to contribute to the agenda.
A few minutes prior to the meeting,
- Visit the meeting issue and follow the “Edit” link.
- Log in to Drupal Slack in the #mentoring-team-coordination channel.
- Copy the initial chunk of text of the agenda until the first empty line and paste it into Slack.
- Copy the :zero: agenda item and paste the text into Slack and start a thread introducing yourself.
- Continue to copy an agenda item one and a time so that each can be its own thread at an interval of 2-3 minutes so that there is time to bounce between threads for active discussion.
- At about the 45 minutes into the meeting, copy the “That's it for now” message and paste it into Slack.
