  • Collaborate with content writers, editors and other contributors
  • Become adequately familiar with the subject of the piece to be edited
  • Confirm accuracy of information with primary sources, adding citations where appropriate
  • Find and fix language usage errors like grammar, style, spelling, technical terms, punctuation, sentence structure, ambiguity
  • Find and fix stylistic departures from the Drupal.org Style guide and its referenced usage manuals
  • Adjust tone and reading level to be appropriate to the assumed audience
  • Find and consolidate repetitive content
  • Use the tools required for the documentation (e.g., Drupal edit pages for drupal.org pages or Markdown for technical documentation stored with code)
