DrupalCon Track Chair Leads work with the DrupalCon Track Chairs and the programming and planning committees to create groups of speakers around particular themes such as site building, businesses and agencies, the open web, or community. You should be passionate about the attendee experience and motivated to provide quality conference content enabling attendees to learn, connect, contribute, and be inspired.
DrupalCon's speakers are its main selling point, and we want to present a comprehensive, diverse, knowledgeable program of sessions for attendees. In this role, you'll coordinate the DrupalCon Track Chairs themselves, who will select the speakers in each track.
- Recruiting and coordinating DrupalCon Track Chairs
- Publicizing the call for speakers
- Ensuring that under-represented groups are invited to apply
- Ensuring that each track's team has the information they need, are aware of their responsibilities, and are on schedule
- Helping to design the overall program schedule
- Supporting speakers in their preparation for DrupalCon
As each DrupalCon is announced, look for requests for planning team members. Often, this role is given to a person who has been a past DrupalCon Track Chair or DrupalCon planning team member.
