A DrupalCamp is a one- to two-day online or in-person event that focuses on Drupal, and brings together people from a geographical region. Volunteers at the event help make sure it goes smoothly for all attendees.

Impact:

The main goal of a DrupalCamp is knowledge sharing among the community -- essentially, you’re getting the community together to help each other learn. It can also be a chance for community members to get to know each other in informal social events, and work together on projects that benefit the Drupal project or the community.

Accountable for:
  • Signing up for task in a time slot
  • Reading background materials about the task you chose
  • Showing up at the right place and the right time
  • Doing the assigned task
  • Being flexible: if the DrupalCamp really needs help with something else at your chosen time, be willing to do that instead of the task you chose
How to get started:

Look for a Volunteers Needed announcement for a DrupalCamp that you are attending. This could be on the camp web site, in an email message sent to attendees, or at the registration table when you check in.
