Scope

While the success of everything we have discussed here or in different IRL conversations requires many working parts, like documentation, training, certifications maybe, shared experiences from other companies on handling interns or IXP, contribution improvements for new people, etc.

These are not part of this initiative's scope.

We need to define a simple, yet workable, process to allow IXPs and companies to connect. And determine success criteria. And a reward, which is contrib credit.

The scope should focus on the basic steps of this process:

• Definition of the 101 skills and core competencies that an IXP should have to be successful in the process. (Entry criteria)
• A connection method for companies and IXP that allows the start of the process. I believe a jobs.drupal.org special area or something similar. It would be interesting to make this is multilingual and multiregional so companies and IXP in different parts of the world can find each other in their same region and/or language.
• Basic conditions of the engagement. (Requirements to be considered as going through the process)
• Definition of the 102 skills and core competencies of what will be considered a junior.
• A set of requirements from the now junior dev and the company to demonstrate the end of the process. Contributions? Blog? (Exit criteria) 
• And finally, a reward, based on the D.O. contribution systems.

What is not part of this initiative: (but I do believe will grow and be improved organically as the process runs)

• Training and organizing trainings or determining a way to learn Drupal.
• Documentation and the best doc strategies.
• To publish or provide internship models. This can come from other companies.
• How to certify the skills and core competencies,  this should be decided by the companies according to their realities.
