Platform Automation for Research and Education

Cerium Software transforms research for universities, non-profit research foundations, and for-profit organizations through development of open source technology, specifically Drupal modules and distributions. Whether you are looking to take weeks of wasted time out of your research projects, automate record keeping and reporting, or if you are simply looking to take advantage of the growing ecosystem of open source software, we can provide the training and custom development you need to make it happen.

Teach via Flashpoint Education

Flashpoint Education is a module suite that lets you build an online education platform, and is particularly geared to onboarding and access controlled content. In addition, Flashpoint is geared to be developer-friendly, by exposing access, course rendering, and other behaviors via selectable plugins. Learn more at flashpointeducation.com/get-started-with-flashpoint.

Training and hosting for Niobi Research Center

Niobi Research Center is the next evolution of our lab management and research management projects, with a particular focus on helping groups manage their equipment, inventory, and broader impacts with minimal burden on departmental resources.

Niobi is currently under development, and the open source version can be found at https://www.drupal.org/project/niobi

Training for Zeomine content analysis

CeriumSoft maintains Zeomine, an open-source crawler and content analyzer that can be used for load testing, finding unwanted content (lorem ipsum text, phone numbers, etc.), and checking for broken or missing content.

We are currently developing a platform for managing Zeomine instances through a web portal, but if you are familiar with python and like to get your hands dirty, you can clone our repository, and contact us with any questions you might have in putting it to use.

Drupal contributions

Cerium Software is committed to open source software contributions, and since our inception, we have contributed (via our founder) a few modules to the Drupal community:

Cerium Software also hosts Cerium Code Club, in which we teach students how to use Drupal and Python to create apps that talk to a central database managed by Drupal's Services module. Our aim is to help computer science students become familiar with Drupal so that they can use it in future employment.
