Women's magazine "Prelest" of famous Russian portal for women. The magazine contains thousands of articles about relationships, family, beauty, women's health. There is also a section on cooking, which publishes only proven and best recipes.
Women's magazine founded in 2004 and in 2005 received the award "Golden site - 2004" in the nomination "Best online media". Now this edition with hundreds of thousands of regular readers.
Why Drupal was chosen:
In 2004, the magazine "Prelest" was launched on its own CMS, developed by a team log in php. However, the growing security requirements and the need to expand the functionality has forced us to look for another solution. We've tested and reviewed several CMS. Among them were WP, Joomla, Type3. However, none of them gave us the flexibility and scalability that we needed. And then we tried Drupal 5 is something that should be shouted us!
We migrated our data on Drupal 5, then we switched to Drupal 6 and now we are working on Drupal 7. Drupal is ideally combines the needed functionality and provides very good security . The project works on Drupal since 2006.
Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):
Women's history is a permanent change. Because in order for the magazine to be interesting for women we should be not just interesting, and to change.
We quite often change the design of the site, within 10 years of the life of the project, we changed the design to 5 times. Moreover, Drupal allows you to do it quickly .
We needed a module "photo Contests". The finished module, we did not find. So we decided to write it yourself. But after examining more deeply the system, we have created this functionality without writing module. Using the standard mechanisms of themed. As well as using the Rate modules and Views. Now we can run a photo contest where you can send pictures, all portal users. Then we run an open vote, the results of which are chosen winners and awarded prizes. To develop this functionality, it took us only 2 weeks.
The aim of the project to be attractive and interesting publication for women. Be interesting services.
