The second iteration of the Honeygrow website. This project involved a completely new theme build that sits on top of the existing websites core functionality. This protected, and re-used the content, and content schema, as well as other established functionality already invested in by the client.

Why Drupal was chosen:

The custom design requirements for this website required a robust flexible content management system that could work for the design, and not force the design to work for the cms. This is the 2nd theme for honeygrow in the last 2 years. The core site was maintained, and for this site, a new theme was just built, with some changes to content types, to allow for the update of the aesthetic, without having to rebuild, and migrate content.

Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):

honeygrow.com went through a major aesstheitc upgrade in Feburary 2015 to meet a growing expectation in their custsomer base to support mobile devices and better market the mission and brand of the business. Following a successful build of the previous website, on drupal 7, starting in December 2014 honeygrow.com contracted with their vendor (alphex.com) to build a new theme on top of the core site allowing the existing content to be maintained.

The goals were...
* a new responsive theme that adapts to desktop/tablet/mobile seamlessly.
* including significant amounts of HTML5 video
* better location tools, including a location search function for finding the nearest restaurant.
* maintaining the existing content base with out rebuilding the entire site from scratch.

Technical specifications

Drupal version:
Drupal 7.x
Key modules/theme/distribution used:
Why these modules/theme/distribution were chosen:

Just as a short list of what modules were used on this site, the listed provide a good example of the scope of this project.
The Responsive Menu module allowed us to build a seamless menu system that uses the "main menu" in drupal for both the "desktop" viewport and tablet & mobile displays.

The Workbench module solves a lot of the pain involved with the "stock" content management tools in Drupal, providing a cleaner and simpler "summary" view of recent content management tasks in the site. Giving the site editor a easy look at what the blog team is working on at any time.

The webform module, which is an almost MUST HAVE on any Drupal website powers the job search system on the website. Each job links to a webform that consumes $POST data from the URL that makes sure the job listings are collected accurately. The webform module then, saves the submissions, and emails notifications to the appropriate people within the company notifying them of the job submission.
