The HighRoad Riders are a community of motorcycle riders based out of Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois. Sharing the road together is our passion. Through the HighRoad Riders website the group more effectively reaches those who are passionate about motorcycle riding and also are looking for encouragement in life or want to grow their faith or even understand what Christianity is about. The website extends the groups reach with specific offers such as men's breakfasts and women's "Red Glove Riders" rides.
The HighRoad Riders website helps the group express the high value it places on building a close community where they can develop lasting friendships, grow in their Christian faith, and serve others. The HighRoad Riders offer great rides, but also offers an opportunity for riders to develop closer friendships and to grow spiritually in a social setting using Bible based studies.
HighRoad Riders gather every Sunday morning at Willow Creek on Hwy 306 (section 306) for a worship service. Wearing biker apparel is not only encouraged, but fully expected!

Why Drupal was chosen:
Drupal was the CMS of choice because of the wealth of functionality available through its modular structure and its convenient integration with CiviCrm. The site was converted from a Wordpress website.
Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):
The HighRoad Riders website was an initiative to more conveniently make available the events as well as the mission of the HighRoad Riders. In addition to announcing and promoting the activities of the motorcycle riding group, the website also handles registration of events including the administration of necessary General Liability Waivers required to participate in the riding events.
By integrating the site with CiviCRM, the HighRoad Riders are able to create personal profiles of interested riders including motorcycle riding skill level and whether the rider carries a passenger. This information helps ride organizers more effectively accommodate riders and place them in riding groups where they will have the best experience.

CiviCRM seamlessly handles registration and administration of the numerous HighRoad Riders events ranging from group bible study to motorcycle safety training to major regional motorcycle tours. Additionally, integration with CiviCRM provides the business rules for determining when prospective riders are required to complete event general liability waivers.
