Overview

Emergency Personnel is a leading last minute supplier and well established healthcare agency, aiming to provide healthcare sector environments across the UK with an around the clock service. It was created on the basis that healthcare establishments which operate 24-hours a day, should always have an alternative temporary solution and is officially ISO 9001:2008 accredited.

Emergency Personnel approached Drupal Centric to create a brand and website to promote their services to the healthcare sector. They wanted to showcase the jobs they had on offer whilst at the same time accepting candidate applications via their website.

Jobs Board & Online Registration for Recruitment Agency
Why Drupal was chosen:

The need for staff members to update and control the content on the site was crucial in deciding what system to go with. Jobs are frequently added, editing and removed so staff needed the ability to handle this themselves. Candidates also needed to be able to upload content and login to submit detail meaning Drupal was a great fit for the project.

Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):

The Challenge

Jobs Search

To deliver a jobs search function that catered for a wide variety of jobs but at the same time was easy to navigate.

CV Upload and Registration

They wanted to allow candidates to send CVs without having to log in to the site but at the same time allow those to register online.

Secure Login

User data is a hot topic and so the site needed to provide a secure login mechanism to assure candidates their information was safe.

The Solution

Taxonomy System and Search

The core Drupal system provides a taxonomy system that allows for quick and easy tagging of content. We then used these tags to provide a simple drop down search function for candidates to find jobs in their specific profession and location.

CV Upload and Online Registration

For candidates that simply wanted to submit their CV we created a pop up form linked from the homepage. This form accepts their basic details e.g. Name, Email and CV, which is emailed to the client and retained online. Secondary to this a link to another form accepts much more in-depth background information, giving them an online account to apply for jobs from.

Data Encryption

An SSL certificate is used across the site to encrypt any data transfer, be that a CV Upload or online registration. Data security being a top priority, encryption was a must have.

Why these modules/theme/distribution were chosen:

The Availability Calendar module was the ideal module to handle candidate availability for jobs that were available in the short term, allowing candidates to alert the agency to their whereabouts over the forthcoming 2 weeks.

Panels allowed for the easy layout of content in different grid formations depending on what section of the site you are visiting. The need to restrict spam submissions to a minimum was important and so a combination of Spambot and Mollom were used across the site.

There's a number of different forms used across the site and this is where the Webform module comes into play allowing for quick creation, moderation and display of forms.
