Program specifics
The program runs from August 2022 to June 2023, and includes:
- A laptop suitable for a Drupal environment
- A comprehensive Drupal training curriculum
- A final project resulting in a portfolio site + usable code sample
- 1:1 mentorship with a Drupal expert
- A support network with fellow students, graduates, and mentors
- All-expenses paid to DrupalCon North America
- Discover Drupal Graduate badge on your drupal.org profile
Student expectations
- Discover Drupal students are encouraged to utilize the resources available to them to their fullest. We are here to help!
- Discover Drupal students are encouraged to be in regular communication with the Drupal Association, their trainers, and their mentors. We can’t help you if we don’t know what you need!
- Discover Drupal students have access to a private Slack channel with a dedicated community support network. Consistent engagement in this channel is important for program success!
- If accepted, Discover Drupal students are committing to a 1-1.5 year long program. It is very important that students understand this time commitment and are able to engage in the program to its completion.
- Should a Discover Drupal need to exit the program before completing a training cohort cycle, they should immediately notify a Drupal Association program lead to begin an off-boarding process.
- Note: We will do whatever we can to help students stay and complete the program successfully.
Drupal education schedules
Schedule 1 - Drupal Career Online: 29 August - 16 November 2022; Mondays & Wednesdays from 12:00 - 15:30 EST + 1 Accessibility course 13-15 December 2022
Schedule 2 - Evolving Web: 6 September 2022 - 23 February 2023; Module format
Final project
Students will work on a final project from Feb - May 2023. Partners at Esteemed will support the Discover Drupal 2022-2023 cohort in creating portfolios, developing their interview skills, and contributing code. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in mentored code contributions and sprints on real open source community-contributed module projects
About DrupalCon Pittsburgh, 5-8 June 2023
Discover Drupal Students are provided with a full conference funding to attend. Students are invited and highly encouraged to attend DrupalCon Pittsburgh 2023 to take their Drupal journey to the next level. Students will be connected with Drupal agencies and professionals and meet their fellow students/mentors in person.
