Drupal Association logo with added Pride

You may have noticed today that we have added a little color to our Drupal Association logo on social media. The changed logo will be around until the end of June, which is traditionally Pride Month.

The Drupal Association is an educational non-profit and does not advocate policy. I personally wanted to make this happen simply to say thank you to everyone at the Drupal Association who have made this LGBTQIA woman feel extraordinarily welcome and empowered this year.

For all LGBTQIA people and their allies, I’d also like to take the opportunity to draw their attention to the Drupal Rainbow Group on groups.drupal.org.

Could we, as a community, do more for Pride Month next year? Let me know - and let’s organise ourselves in the Drupal Rainbow Group.

The US celebrates Disability Awareness/History month in October. We should definitively do that.

Same in here... dont like it... the only thing these associations are interested in there is great amount of money rolling around LGBTxyz... but in reality, it is not very helpful

I don't think that's a fair characterization of the DA. It's hard for me to imagine them hustling for monotony and exclusion regardless of the dollar amount.

It's great to see the Drupal community engaged in things like this.  Important for our values https://www.drupal.org/about/values-and-principles

Well, it’s the end of the month so I have returned the Twitter logo back to it’s original blue.

I have had so many beautiful comments  via Twitter, one or two reducing me to happy tears (admittedly, this isn’t a difficult thing for me!).

Whether this will become a regular thing, or even include other significant events in the future, I don’t know. We need to have a discussion about that and we will.

Thank you everyone 💙
