Starshot is a new kind of initiative in the Drupal community where we are collectively pulling together as individuals and organizations to a new kind of common goal. As part of that effort, we want to leverage the Drupal community's powerful contribution credit system to recognize and reward those who are stepping forward to lead the initiative.

Community Pledges

The Drupal community has made pledges to Starshot both as Individuals and as Organizations, and are even stepping up to lead.

The Drupal Association and the Starshot Leadership Team regularly review these pledges to match the contributing individuals and organizations with Starshot project tracks.

Contribution Rewards

There are several methods for the contribution credit to be awarded to Starshot contributors.

  1. Contribution to any modules, themes, etc that are designated as part of Starshot will receive the same amount of credit as Drupal core issues. (10 credits per issue).
  2. An organizational pledge of dedicated team members to contribute to or lead Starshot project tracks will receive 50 credits per week, for each FTE equivalent pledged.
  3. Financial contribution to the innovation fund receives 1 credit per $100 invested, with a minimum investment of $5,000.
  4. And finally, individual issues of exceptional importance or that represent blockers that need further community effort may be assigned special credit bounties.
