What does migration involve?

If migrating from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 seems overwhelming, keep in mind that great strides have happened recently with migration tools. 

This migration can be seen as an opportunity to revisit your site's data model and information architecture. The Drupal 8 upgrade process is not done as a direct update to your existing codebase; instead, you build out your new site on Drupal 8 with all your required content types, and use the migration tools to import all your data. What if I want to stay on Drupal 7?
