XML Sitemap automatically creates a site map that conforms to the sitemaps.org specification. This helps search engines keep their search results up to date. XML Sitemap replaces the Google Sitemap module written by Matthew Loar as part of Google Summer of Code 2005. Please check there for older versions.
The code has been written to allow external modules to add support for new link types and search engines. The following optional modules are included in XML Sitemap:
- XML Sitemap: Menu
- (Version 5.x-2.x and higher) Adds menu items to the site map.
- XML Sitemap: Node
- Adds nodes and node-related links returned by external modules.
XML Sitemap: Node now includes the ability to create site maps with Views, including Google News site maps. This feature was sponsored by EmpowHer.com: Strong Women Transforming Health. - XML Sitemap: File
- (Version 5.x-2.x and higher) Adds node file attachments.
- XML Sitemap: Term
- Adds taxonomy terms and taxonomy-related links returned by external modules.
- XML Sitemap: User
- Adds user profiles and profile-related links returned by external modules.
- XML Sitemap: Engines
- Supports the following search engines:
