Excerpt

Excerpt module allows you to enter a separate excerpt/summary/teaser for a node, which does not have to be a cut off version of the body.

Note: At this time I don't see any need to upgrade Excerpt to Drupal 6. I believe the same functionality is provided in a cleaner fashion.
